I've been lurking around here since I found this site a few weeks ago. Have to say I'm really impressed.

I'm in the process of purchasing my first tractor - it'll either be a Kubota BX2200 or a Deere 2210 (still waiting on the Deere quote, though, but the prices are looking to be pretty similar). As of now, though, the little orange machine is really looking good (I was really surprised at how much plastic there was on the Deere machine, while the Kubota was mostly metal).

I've been quoted the following prices on the Kubota w/implements:

BX2200 w/60" MMM for $10,200.00, can add at 48" Land Pride rotary tiller attachment for $1,495.00. They also quoted me an additional $2,360.00 for a loader, but I'm not really looking for one at this point (a future toy, maybe? -- insert Tim Allen "more power" grunt here!). Prices don't include sales tax, but delivery is free even though dealer is a few hundred miles away.

Would you consider these prices as quoted to be a decent deal on this equipment? I'd also welcome any comments you might have on tires. The machine will be used mostly for mowing (about 2 acres total on three different lots), with some tilling.

Thanks.

Has anyone compare the BX2200 to the JD2210? I am narrowing down to these two tractors, and I would like to hear your opinion on their performance, use of implements.

I also heard that New Holland is ready to launch a comparable model (to the BX2200). Does anyone have any info on that?

Thanks! ....
